Entrants can be 13. These controls live in the database, not in a policy document — which means they can't be quietly relaxed.
Players can link their Instagram, TikTok or Snapchat — but the handle is never shown to anyone else. You see the platform name, and you can only open the link if you're the same side of 18 as they are.
An adult can't read a 14-year-old's handle here and message them there. And it works both ways, which protects adults from an accusation as much as it protects children.
We publish our risk assessments and safeguarding policy openly. Most services don't. We think being honest about risk is more useful to a parent than claiming there isn't any. Read the full safeguarding policy →
You give us the only right to use your entry — nobody else can, including you, without asking. But the copyright stays yours, you're always credited, and you can share and link to it freely.
There's a report button on everything in the app. If you believe a child is at immediate risk, call the police on 999. Suspected child sexual abuse material should be reported to the Internet Watch Foundation. You can reach our safeguarding team any time at [email protected].
No comments, no DMs, human review on every under-18 entry. Then the fun part.
